The Hamilton-Ord FPD was formed in 1945. The Hamilton-Ord-Bayliss Fire District was formed in 1948. Ord dropped out of the Consolidated District in 1952 leaving it the Hamilton-Bayliss Fire Protection District. In 1995 the Districts separated and the Hamilton City Fire Protection District was formed on August 11, 1995
